Hi, I am Laura Allwright. I started The Flying Vet Nurse in 2013 after a career working in some really interesting and seriously cool (for veterinary nursing geeks!) places; the Royal Veterinary College in London and Potters Bar as an Anaesthesia Nurse; as a Cardiac Nurse in Liverpool University Small Animal Treatment Hospital; with Noel Fitzpatrick 'the Supervet'; providing A&E nursing at Vets in Cardiff; and with local small-animal Veterinary Practices.
I started TFVN to deliver 'district nursing for animals' - bridging the gap between the Veterinary practice and your pet's home and to support Veterinary practices' outpatients. As TFVN has grown we now manage Dogwarts canine centre of excellence, provide K9 behaviour advice & socialisation, K9 agility, pet boarding and supply of food/toys/equipment/non-presciption medications.
I love my job.
Hi, I’m Sara. I love animals and somehow seem to get on better with them than humans! I’ve been with TFVN since 2015 as Animal Care Apprentice, doing my apprenticeship with North Shropshire College in NVQ2 Animal Care Studies. I’m very excited to be working with animals and towards a qualification.
I will be learning on the job from The Boss whilst sharing my care and cuddles with the animals at TFVN; in particular, supervising the dogs in Dogwarts is my main role and I will also be putting my artistic skills into TFVN marketing. Watch this space!
Hi, I am Calvin Allwright. I am an engineer and business owner. My primary role at TFVN is playing fetch (or Dog-Rugby as it sometimes becomes!) with the pack. Second to that I advise on business practices, IT support, facilities management and marketing to The Boss.
My other job is advising and helping start-ups, micro-businesses and small-medium businesses to sell into governments and corporations. So I tend to spend alot of time in aeroplanes, on trains and driving automobiles.
